Ernie Pyle Elementary School staff and students are extending a huge thank you to the Western Indiana Community Foundation members for their generous donation to the SV elementary music program. They recently awarded a grant for $1,600 to the program for purchasing ukuleles. Thank you to Ms. Demi Beuligmann for writing the grant!

Don't forget about our 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat in the main parking lot at Ernie Pyle this Friday, Oct. 28th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

3rd, 4th & 5th grade boys basketball practice has been cancelled for today. We will have your students follow their normal after-school routine (ride the bus, be a car rider, etc) unless you call to tell us otherwise.

The Junior Optimist Club of Ernie Pyle is hosting a Food Drive beginning on November 1st. We will be collecting non-perishable food items & canned goods through November 18th. Students are bringing home a copy of the flyer today.

Wear your Ernie Pyle gear or our school colors (Red & White) tomorrow for Red Ribbon Week! "Better Together, Bully and Drug Free."

Fall Break is next week. There is no school Monday through Friday, October 17-21. Wishing all of our Ernie Pyle Elementary School students and staff a safe and restful fall break.

Trojan Family Christmas information was sent home with students on Thursday and Friday. It is due back on Friday, Oct. 14th. Applications will not be accepted after the 14th.

South Vermillion High School will be hosting a Trunk or Treat in the student parking lot on Fri., Sept. 28th from 6-7:30. (This will be after the Trunk or Treat at Ernie Pyle).

Ernie Pyle's 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat will be held on Friday, October 28th from 5-6:30 p.m. in our main parking lot. We hope to see you there!

Next Wed., Oct. 12th is Ernie Pyle Night at Papa John's in Clinton. Use code ISE003 when ordering to support our school.

Red Ribbon Week is the week AFTER Fall Break. Monday through Friday, October 24-28th, we will have a different dress-up day each day. Please see the attached flyer for details. Also, on Mon., Oct. 31st, students will be able to dress up like their favorite book character. *No masks, face paint, hair color, or weaponry allowed.

Don't forget that the Title I Parent Involvement Day/Night is tomorrow (October 6, 2022) at Ernie Pyle. See attached for more information.

It's time for our annual K-5 Title I Family Involvement Night! If you've scheduled a parent/teacher conference on 10/6, stop by the Title I table to pick up your 📚🍿family involvement literacy kit🍿📚! Don't have a scheduled time on 10/6 to meet with your child's teacher? You are still welcome to come pick up your kit during the times listed on this flyer! Notice the daytime opportunity as well!

**Early Dismissal EVERY DAY THIS WEEK!  We dismiss at 2:10 today through Friday.** Paragon fundraiser orders are due.  Please send them in with your student! Friday is the end of the first grading period. Report cards will come home next Tuesday (Oct. 11th). Fall Break is the week of Oct. 17-21.
