DIRECTOR OF INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY
Mrs. Jenny Fossi - Director of Instructional Technology
I have had the pleasure of leading technology initiatives at South Vermillion since 1997, when this position was first created. As a lifelong resident of Clinton and a proud graduate of South Vermillion High School, I take great pride in ensuring that our students, staff, and parents have the digital tools they need to thrive in our educational environment. I firmly believe that technology is not just a tool but a gateway to enhancing learning experiences and preparing our students for the demands of the 21st century.
My educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, along with a Computer Literacy Endorsement from Indiana State University in 1993. I spent two years as an elementary teacher in 3rd and 4th grades, which provided me with invaluable insights into the needs of both students and educators in the classroom. My passion for curriculum development and assessment led me to pursue graduate studies at Nova Southeastern University, where I earned my Master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment in 2002.
Throughout my career, I have actively contributed to the field of instructional technology by being involved in several professional organizations. I have served on the ICE Board of Directors, the ENA Leadership Team, and the Filewave Advisory Council. My work in these roles has allowed me to shape technology initiatives that have significantly impacted our educational landscape at South Vermillion.
As a proud mom of three young adults, all of whom graduated from South Vermillion High School, I understand firsthand the importance of fostering a community dedicated to education. My experiences as a parent and educator deepen my commitment to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to engage with technology to enhance their learning.
Outside of my work at South Vermillion, I enjoy traveling, reading, baking, and consuming pop culture from multiple genres. I believe in the importance of lifelong learning and how technology connects us to a wealth of knowledge and experiences.
My mission remains clear: to ensure that every student at South Vermillion has the opportunity to thrive in a technology-rich educational environment, paving the way for future generations to succeed in an ever-evolving digital world.
