
Kindergarten Round-Up is coming to Van Duyn on April 8, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Forms are available for pickup in our main office between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and are on our website under documents. They were also sent to Creative Center Preschool, Valley Daycare, and Head Start. One was sent home with all current Van Duyn students and it is also attached. Please complete the form and return to the school with birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residence by Thursday, April 3, 2025. Your future kindergarten student will need to attend with you on April 8th.

Congratulations to our last Dr. Seuss book winner, Rayna Fortner. She was the fourth grader chosen from the students who purchased a full breakfast tray this morning. We hope you enjoy your new book, Rayna. A big thank you to all who purchased school breakfast this week and to our cafeteria staff for making this week fun for our Vikings.


Today is Maintenance Worker Appreciation Day! At Van Duyn, we are thankful for the SVCS Maintenance Crew: Steve, Joe, Rich, and Judson! They are always here for us whenever we need them.


Today's winner of the Dr. Seuss book for National School Breakfast Week is Waylen McLin. He was chosen from the 3rd graders who purchased a full breakfast tray this morning. Congratulations, Waylen! Enjoy your new book!

IREAD testing is again tomorrow for 2nd and 3rd graders!

Myla Johnson was the winner of the Dr. Seuss book today. Her name was randomly chosen from all second grade students who purchased a full breakfast tray in honor or National School Breakfast Week.


We have another scheduled two-hour delay (for professional development) on Wednesday, March 26th. This will be three weeks from today.


The car that Adalyne Price made for the One School One Book Family Adventure Night: STEM on Wheels was chosen as the 2025 People's Choice. Adalyne is shown with her prize for earning this award. Congratulations to Adalyne who is a first grader at Van Duyn.

IREAD testing for 2nd and 3rd graders will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, March 5 & 6. Please make sure your child is well-rested and eats breakfast (at home or school).
