The SVMS Robotics Team competed at the Seymour State Qualifier this past weekend. The 8th-grade team (SVMS Classy Goats) made it to the invitation finals and brought home a 2nd-place finish. The 7th/8th combined team (SVMS Danger Zone) made it to the invitation finals and brought home a 5th-place finish. The 6th-grade team (SVMS Nerd Herd) made it to the invitation finals and brought home a 3rd-place finish. The Excellence Award at any competition is the highest award a team can earn. This is based on competition performance in the top 10 all day for teamwork and skills, a well-developed engineering notebook, and a great team interview. The 6th-grade team brought home the Excellence Award! They will be advancing to the state finals at Lucas Oil Stadium in March.
