
On Wednesday, December 11th, in the South Vermillion High School Auditorium, our winter programs for music will take place for Van Duyn Elementary students. We will have music selections both pertaining to winter as well as some Christmas favorites. Students may wear either Christmas colors or winter colors.
Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade students will report to the following rooms starting at 5:15 PM and no later than 5:30 PM so that we can take attendance and get them lined up and ready to go for their performance.
Kindergarten students should report to room C-23, the early childhood development room.
1st grade students should report to the high school band room.
2nd grade students should report to the high school choir room.
K-2nd grade students will have their performance at 5:30 PM.
Please wait until all kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade students have performed before picking up your child from their designated rooms.
3rd and 4th grade students will report to the following rooms starting at 6:45 PM and no later than 7:00 PM so that we can take attendance and get them lined up and ready to go for their performance.
3rd grade students should report to the high school band room.
4th grade students should report to the high school choir room.
Once you have dropped off your student, feel free to go ahead and find a seat in the auditorium.
3rd and 4th grade students will have their performance at 7:00 PM.
Please wait until all 3rd and 4th grade students have performed before picking up your child from their designated rooms.

Good afternoon! Due to the recently issued Winter Weather Advisory by the National Weather Service for this evening, there will be no after-school or evening activities. This includes all practices and scheduled events. Be safe!


Our "Countdown to Christmas" starts on Monday, December 2nd. Here are the themed dress-up days for the 15 days between Thanksgiving Break and Winter Break.

Tomorrow is picture retake day! Please be here on time, as the photographer will start after announcements and attendance. Please return your unwanted photo package with your child to give to the photographer. Blank order forms are in the main office if you need them.


The Junior Optimist food drive continues this week through November 26th.

UPDATE! Friday 11/22 is NOT a PTO Snack Day. November & December snack day is combined and will be on Fri., 12/6. - Events for this week.


Friday, November 22nd will be "SV Gives Back Day" at Van Duyn. Students can pay $1 that day to wear pajamas and bring a stuffed animal. Proceeds go to the Vermillion County Fair Association.


Next Tuesday, November 19th is Picture Retake Day! We will do the photos after announcements and attendance. If you would like to have your child's photo retaken, please have him or her at school on time that day. You will need to return your unwanted photo package with your child that day to give to the photographer. We have blank order forms in the main office, if you need one.


One week from today is our next scheduled two-hour delay for professional development.
