Good afternoon! Per the CDC and Vermillion County Health Department, testing positive for COVID will no longer require a 5-day isolation. COVID will now be treated like all other respiratory viruses and return to school will now be based on symptoms and/or symptom improvement, along with being fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medication.
*If you test positive for COVID, you should stay home for 24 hours after your symptoms start to improve and make sure you are fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication prior to returning to activities. Taking additional precautions for 5 days upon return, such as masking and distancing, should be considered but will not be required.
